For those of you who do not know yet WE ARE MOVING! I don't know if you can really call a 22 mile drive a move or not but for us it is. John was offered a full-time position at French Camp Academy about 2 months ago and after much prayer and deliberation we accepted. There are many benefits associated with the move and one includes housing on campus. We do not have a definite move date yet but it will be sometime in July. We are hoping it will be around the first couple weeks of July so we can get settled before school starts.
We knew at some point that John would transition out of full-time youth ministry because even though he loves to preach he has no desire to be a full-time pulpit minister. We didn't realize the opportunity to make the transition would be placed before so soon. We were very happy and comfortable and were not looking to make a move. It was a shock to us that this offer was made. We feel it to be a good fit because it is still "youth ministry" in a sense. There is also an opportunity for John to possibly work with the church of Christ in French Camp.
Please pray for us as this transition is being made. John will be taking on more responsibilites but with us living on campus we as a family should have more time together.
