Taking after Sissy Again!

When Kaylee was younger she loved Elmo. Sweet Gracie gave Tyler an Elmo that he plays with sometimes. Here he is holding his Elmo watching an Elmo video. He couldn't take his eyes off the T.V.

Kaylee Puddle Jumping

We had 3 nights straight of storms with heavy rain but during the day it was pleasant. Our driveway floods something awful when we have that much rain. Kaylee got new rubber boots the other day and decided to make use of them.

Haircuts!

We went for haircuts yesterday and it was time for Tyler to get his "first" but really his "second" haircut. He had a trim from Grandma Phyllis back at Christmas time. Yesterday was his first haircut at a shop. Beverly did Kaylee's first also. She is really good with kids. Tyler did amazingly well. He tried to grab her comb and her hand a few times. She gave him a comb to hold and that distracted him a bit. I didn't want a "big boy" haircut yet so she just trimmed him. Kaylee got a little more than a trim. It makes her look older.

Church Homecoming

We had our 75th Church Anniversary/Homecoming last weekend. The weekend began Saturday night with a Zomen reunion and dinner. Kaylee somehow ended up on stage with them singing "This little light of mine." Rather they sang as she acted shy. I didn't have my camera with me so I didn't get a picture. She had a real good time all weekend. Tyler on the other hand wore his first pair of shoes Saturday. He was not very happy. We finally took them off. He smiled and kicked his feet as if he were completely relieved.

Playing basketball before we left Saturday night.

Sunday morning before worship. Check out the shoes!

The Museum of Natural Science

We took a day of John's Spring Break to go to Jackson. We took Kaylee to the museum of Natural Science which has a really big park. Evey time we go to the doctor we pass by it and Kaylee wants to play on the playground. It has been to cold or we didn't have time. According to the weather forecast it was suppose to be sunny and warm on Monday. That is until the forecast changed. She didn't get to play on the playground but she had a lot of fun at the museum.

On the way to the museum. Every once and a while they act like they love each other. Notice Tyler's foot. He always takes that one sock off.

Tyler waited outside the Preschool room with Daddy while Kaylee and I played.

Looking at the alligators

Watching the turtle.

Kaylee thought this was real when we first enter this part of the exhibit. She froze until I tapped on him to show her he wasn't. However this is still as close to him as she would get.

Kaylee in the Museum's Preschool Room and Learning to Recycle

Kaylee loved dressing up like a "fairy." I'm not sure if those were fairy wings or if they were suppose to be butterfly wings but she said she was a fairy. She loves the movie Tinkerbell! She also enjoyed the Environmental exhibit where she sorted plastic, metal and paper. She came home and made her own recycling bin and got my plastic food containers out of the cabinet and began to "recycle" them.

Silly Tyler

The other day Tyler found the washing machine while it was on the spin cycle. He first put his hands up to it then he started putting his mouth on it. I guess he got a kick out of the vibration. He makes his own fun.

Tyler and Sissy Dancing

I tried to get this video to upload yesterday when I was posting everything else and had no luck. Anyway, here it is. I know what you must be thinking.... I will admit they got their love of music from me and the dancing... well.... NO COMMENT. LOL

Tyler Dancing!

Enjoying Another Beautiful Day

Now that the yard is so nice and neat we can't get enough of it. We have been in shorts for 4 days now! We signed Kaylee up for T-Ball Saturday and she is really excited about it. However, her games don't start until almost May. We will be hearing a lot about it until then. Tyler loves the wagon. If you stop pulling him he bounces until you start pulling again.
In the second picture he is mad at his sister because she wouldn't share her sucker. The third picture he is doing "awe wee love the baby." Look how blond his hair looks in that light!

Cleaning the Yard

Since basketball season is over and the weather is cooperating, John had time to catch up on much needed yard work. While he picked up sticks and limbs the kids ate their snack. He had a little help from Kaylee and Tyler, well what can I say.... he just dumped his snacks out and then ate them off the blanket.

Baby Jail

Kaylee used this crib on the first height setting until she was over 2 years old but not Tyler! Monday he climbed over the top and fell right out. Scared me to death when I heard it and ran in there and he was sitting on the floor screaming. He is fine but I'm a little traumatized. The bed only has two heights. The lowest setting is where it should be for the toddler bed conversion but we had to go ahead and lower it that far. He now looks like he is in jail but he is safe, for the time being that is. I'm not going to say he will not ever get out of it but it should be a really long time before he is able. Mercy, he keeps me on edge!

Sunday Snow

This was the scene from our front door Sunday morning.

Tyler getting ready. He doesn't like this at all.

We didn't get to play in the snow because we had to leave for church and by the time we got out of church there was barely a hint left. Kaylee said it wasn't Christmas so why was there snow. I guess she thinks in only snows at Christmas time. She was excited that it "even snowed at the church building." It wasn't much but it was pretty while it lasted.
