Dairy Queen and UPDATE

We were in Jackson a few weeks ago and went to a Miskelly's Furniture. It huge and is as much of a play place as it is a furniture store. It has a carousel, a small indoor basketball court and a home theater where Kaylee watched a little Disney.

After we of course had to hit the DQ Grill and Chill. Tyler having his first taste of DQ.

Kaylee after DQ ice cream! Mercy....
A lot has happened in 3 weeks! We have a contract for the sale of our house after 3 weeks on the market. We are praying nothing falls through. We also found out that our place at French Camp will probably not be ready until sometime in August now. Our closing date, Lord willing, will be on or before August 7th with 7 days to vacate after the closing date. August 7th is also the second day of school at FCA. We are trying not to worry too much and focus on what has to be done between now and then but the fact is we may be homeless for a couple of weeks. The Lord has provided for us abundantly through the years and I have no doubt he will see us through this difficult transition time. Kaylee is very excited especially since we are slowly starting to put things in boxes now. She HAD to pack her books today. I guess she is like her Mom. It makes her feel like something is getting done. The home inspector came today and John is scared to death he is going to have a list of major issues. That should really be our only hang up considering the buyer is pre-qualified for his loan. Please say a few extra prayers on our behalf throughout the next month! Thank you all for following the blog and our family. God Bless to all.

Gardens and Sprinklers

We planted a small garden after a one year hiatus. We have gotten a few grape tomatoes which I have not yet had the privilege to taste. Kaylee washes them and eats them as soon as they come off the vine. We also got our first squash the other day. The squash plants are taking over.

Kaylee thinks when the sprinkler comes out so does the swim suit!

Oh Tyler!

Peeking around the corner after I kept telling him not to go in the there. I guess he is seeing if I'm really serious.

He likes to sit on this stool for some reason.

I find him either playing in the dog bowl or putting things in it too many times to count a day. This is the look I get after telling him no.

Bye, Bye T-Ball

Kaylee's last T-ball game was a couple of weeks ago. After the game they had a pizza party and were given their trophies. You would have thought she won an Olympic Gold Medal! She would have slept with it if I would have let her.

No doubt Tyler was going to get pizza too!!!

Gracie came to see her best friend win! At least that's what she said.

Tyler draws a crowd! Maybe he is the mascot.

Bauer News Flash

For those of you who do not know yet WE ARE MOVING! I don't know if you can really call a 22 mile drive a move or not but for us it is. John was offered a full-time position at French Camp Academy about 2 months ago and after much prayer and deliberation we accepted. There are many benefits associated with the move and one includes housing on campus. We do not have a definite move date yet but it will be sometime in July. We are hoping it will be around the first couple weeks of July so we can get settled before school starts.

We knew at some point that John would transition out of full-time youth ministry because even though he loves to preach he has no desire to be a full-time pulpit minister. We didn't realize the opportunity to make the transition would be placed before so soon. We were very happy and comfortable and were not looking to make a move. It was a shock to us that this offer was made. We feel it to be a good fit because it is still "youth ministry" in a sense. There is also an opportunity for John to possibly work with the church of Christ in French Camp.

Please pray for us as this transition is being made. John will be taking on more responsibilites but with us living on campus we as a family should have more time together. I will also be involved with some part-time work activities that will allow me to have the kids with me. You can check out more about French Camp Academy at http://www.frenchcamp.org/. Thank you family and friends for all your support.

Tyler Walking For Real This Time

More T-Ball

Kaylee had her T-Ball pictures taken Monday night. Tyler posed for this picture better than expected.

After pictures it was game time. Tyler is having fun eating cheerios and doing his silly cheese.

Kaylee on first base showing the first base coach her temporary princess tatoo.

I'm not really sure what she is doing here and I probably don't want to know.
Stopping a ball in the outfield.
Waiting for her turn to bat.
She is suppose to be waiting on her coach to put the ball on the T but when she saw me with the camera she decided to smile.

She hit it so fast I missed her swinging but this was a really good hit.

Coming back to the dugout after she scored.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

This is how Tyler "cheeses" for the camera these days. He will do just about anything to get a laugh out of you. However.....

there is another side to Tyler. Sunday morning Tyler was furious with John for taking the cereal bowl away. It was empty but that didn't matter to him. He was crying and yelling and Kaylee decided to get in his face. I don't know if she was trying to comfort him or irritating him more but he took a plug out of her cheek.

Tyler and the dog

John and Kaylee had been somewhere and Tyler and JB were very happy to see them.

It is funny to watch Tyler and JB. When Tyler tries to play with JB he runs away because he has learned how much it hurts to have your ear, hair or tail pulled. When Tyler doesn't pay attention to JB he brings a toy to him and puts it in his lap. JB likes to play growl while you try to take his toy away but with Tyler he either gives it up or gently pulls. He isn't the breed of dog I would have chosen but he really isn't that bad.
