Poor Suffering Blog

My blog has suffered so much this summer. We have been really busy so I will try to catch everybody up. Since the beach I found out I have a Vitamin B-12 deficiency which I probably have had for a long time but didn't realize what it was. I got really bad for about 3 weeks, which just happened to be during a time John was gone everyday for 3 weeks. I have been taking 2 shots a week and can really tell a difference. It is a good thing because school has hit in full force. I am the new assistant coach for girl's softball, varsity and jr. varsity. I'm still doing my dorm subbing once a week and babysitting every Wednesday morning for the dorm parents children while they attend a weekly meeting. I am also awaiting a meeting about a part-time secretary position for the Rainwater Observatory, which is a part of FCA. Hopefully details will work out to where the majority of work will be from home.

John assisted with an enrichment program and held basketball practice two days a week during the summer. He has a new technological teaching device in his room he is learning the ends and outs of but is very excited to have it. It is really cool all the things you can do with it. He has a few more responsibilities this year. Because we live on campus we have weekend duty every so often. That isn't new. This year, however, he will be on General Duty which means he will be in charge of any happenings on campus for his 3 assigned weekends.

Kaylee took swimming lessons for 2 weeks and she is a different child. She still has a fear when her feet can't touch the ground but she is swimming across almost the whole width of pool. VBS was a huge success for the Huntsville church of Christ. Tyler had a great time as well. He has gotten sooooooo tall and is Mr. Independent, except with his blankie which seems to be stuck to him these days. School started Friday, August 6th and Tyler was not happy to see John and Kaylee walk out the door.

I could probably go on and on but I won't. I'll leave you with some random pictures.

We love the pool!!! Tyler has no fear.

We took a trip to the Tupelo Buffalo Park in June and meet some friends who came in from Nashville. We made it as far as the first barn and a huge thurnderstorm hit. We were caught out in that barn with very loud screeching birds and goats. Tyler had fun feeding the goat and one baby goat somehow wiggled out and Tyler would have taken him home if he could have caught him. Thanks Karen! We had a great time with you.

Kaylee had her first sleepover with the preacher's daughters and had a good time. After that she has spent the night with Granny a couple of times.

First day of school. See Tyler looking out the door window. Poor guy.

Tyler decided he needed to play in the water after our daily afternoon rain shower. Chilling with Dad.

Bathtime fun!

Kaylee at her T-ball Awards. She says she isn't playing next year.
