August 2008

School is in full swing and so is hurricane season. Every southern county in Mississippi was hit pretty hard by Gustav except for Attala. We got breezy and rainy weather but we were blessed not to get severe weather. We had a few days of nice non-humid weather before the hurricane so we enjoyed it.

Everyday I am amazed at how "grown up" Kaylee is getting and at how "grown up" she thinks she is. She is learing a new Bible verse every week at school. She is learning donkey kicks, flips, and they have already started cartwheels in gymnastics. She thinks she has to wear the same shorts and shirt every week. She is learning early that she cannot be the best at everything. She gets upset when she doesn't do as well as some of the others in her class. The other day she helped me make a Kentucky pie or did she eat it?

Tyler will not quit talking. I took him with me to get my hair cut the other day and he fussed and cried until my hairdresser would stop and talk to him. He would then crack the biggest smile. Rotten or a Flirt? He is reaching and grabbing toys. Week before last he rolled from his back to his stomach but doesn't like to be on his belly for too long.

We are taking them to the circus on Saturday in Jackson. God Bless
